11. Google and YouTube API Services

For Google and YouTube user data, the specific provisions in this section take precedence over any conflicting general provisions elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. Such data is used only to provide the connected features described here, not for advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.

Connection, data, and purpose

Obsera uses YouTube API Services to let users connect their YouTube channels and manage YouTube interactions through the Platform.

Depending on the features enabled and permissions granted, Obsera accesses channel identifiers and details, video identifiers and metadata, comments and replies, and content users submit for supported video-management actions. This information is used to display connected YouTube content, organize comments in the shared inbox, publish replies, and perform video-management actions requested by users.

Access is limited to the permissions granted through Google's authorization process. Users control the actions performed on their behalf.

Authorization and data handling

Obsera retains authorization tokens to maintain the connection and stores the YouTube data needed to provide enabled features. This information is used for the purposes described in this section and handled under the security provisions of this Privacy Policy.

Service providers supporting the Platform may process this information where necessary to deliver the service, as described in Section 3. Obsera does not sell Google or YouTube user data.

YouTube data is not sent to AI providers or used to train AI models.

Retention and deletion

Authorization tokens are retained while needed for an authorized connection. Stored YouTube API data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.

Users may request deletion of their stored Google/YouTube data by emailing privacy@obsera.com. Obsera completes these requests within seven calendar days. When users disconnect YouTube through Obsera or delete their Obsera account, Obsera immediately revokes the relevant authorization tokens and stops accessing their connected YouTube account. Associated stored tokens and YouTube data are deleted as soon as possible and within seven calendar days.

Deleting data held by Obsera does not delete videos, comments, or other content held by YouTube. Deleting content on YouTube requires a separate action through YouTube or a supported, authorized feature.

Revoking access

Users can revoke Obsera's access at any time through Google's third-party access settings.

Obsera checks whether its authorization remains valid. When access is revoked through Google, Obsera stops using that authorization and deletes associated stored data as soon as possible, within 30 calendar days.

Google policies and contact

Google's handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Obsera's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.
